Spring on Bainbridge Island

Spring has officially arrived, which means there are lots of great activities to be enjoyed on the Island! From live music and entertainment to garden talks and a celebration of art, kick spring off with some fun events not to be missed.  

MOMENTUM  |  MARCH 22 TO APRIL 25

Bainbridge Island Art Museum presents a month-long program entitled Momentum – which will bring a variety of events to the museum with contemporary voices from a range of mediums including spoken word and poetry, music and live art.

FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK  |  APRIL 6

On the First Friday of every month, the Island arts scene comes together to showcase vibrant pieces of art in a variety of mediums. Businesses open their doors for good food and company, as residents and visitors stroll downtown Winslow. Be sure to stop by RSIR! 

FIRST SUNDAYS CONCERTS  |  APRIL 8

The Waterfront Park Community Center welcomes a guest musician on the first Sunday of every month to share their talents in an evening of music, dancing and plenty of fun. April will bring the Skyros String Quartet to the stage for a performance.

BSO PRESENTS SUPERHEROES & VILLIANS  |  APRIL 14 & 15

The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra will put on a performance that will prove fun for the entire family, with a program that moves through tunes from some of your favorite action movies, including Star Wars, Batman, Superman, and more!

SIP & PAINT  |  APRIL 17

April 17th will bring “Sip & Paint” to Fletcher Bay Winery for a fun evening sipping delicious wines by the glass while you learn to paint Ferry Crossing at Sunset, a Bainbridge Island-themed canvas painting perfect celebrating the Island life.

STORY OF FIVE GARDENS  |  APRIL 21

Bloedel Reserve will welcome renowned landscape architect Koichi Kobayashi to the Japanese Garden for a discussion on the history of Japanese Gardens in the United States and look to future gardening trends. Following the lecture, Mr. Kobayashi will make himself available for audience questions.
