Bainbridge Weekend: Wine Tasting

With the arrival of autumn, Bainbridge Island will soon be dripping in beautiful red and golden hues as the leaves change color and the air becomes crisper. This is one of our favorite times of year to spend a weekend wine tasting at the Island’s seven stellar wineries and tasting rooms. Below we’ve outlined our favorite destinations and what makes them special.

Amelia Wynn Winery

Open daily, the Amelia Wynn Winery Tasting Room is just a half mile from the ferry. It’s kid and dog friendly and they offer snacks for purchase to go with your wine.

Bainbridge Vineyards

Bainbridge Vineyards has a tasting room at the winery, which is located 5 miles from the ferry. They are open Thursdays to Mondays with snacks and space for dogs and kiddos.

Eagle Harbor Wine Co.

The newest winery on the Island, Eagle Harbor has a downtown tasting room open Thursday to Monday and is open daily at the winery. Kids are permitted and dogs can hang outdoors.

Eleven Winery

If you want a bite to eat, head to the winery, otherwise their downtown tasting room is a great option. Both locations are open daily and are kid friendly, but leave the four-legged family members home.

Fletcher Bay Winery

Fletcher Bay is a local favorite, with close proximity to a distillery and brewery, an upper loft with entertainment for the kids, and snacks. We also recommend checking out their new tasting room, located near the Bainbridge Island Art Museum.

Perennial Vintners

The smallest commercial vineyard in the state, Perennial Vintners has a tasting room at the winery 4.4 miles from the ferry. They allow dogs outdoors and have activities, milk and juice available for children.

Rolling Bay Winery

Rolling Bay Winery and tasting room is open Fridays to Sundays. They offer charcuterie and are kid and dog friendly too.
